As a Registered Training Organisation delivering VET courses, the team at Fitness Institute were very pleased to hear of a recent report conducted by the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER) which shows student satisfaction with Vocational Education Training (VET) continues to be high!
Based on results obtained from the 2018 National Student Outcomes Survey, the NCVER report and subsequent media release were published in December 2019.
Research included information from people training for employment related reasons, further study as well as personal development.
The data collected shows 88.1% of course graduates and 91.4% of people completing specific subjects were very satisfied with the training experience and outcomes.
Amongst VET graduates, more than 80% achieved their main reason for training and employment outcomes were also positive.
The media release also quotes NCVER Managing Director Simon Walker as saying “Results from this year’s survey also show that students who completed a qualification at certificate III or higher had better employment outcomes than those who started but didn’t complete a qualification at the same level.”
It was also noted that the difference was greatest in diploma or higher level qualification students, with graduates having an improved employment status after training compared with those who didn’t complete their studies.
