Mandra has a decade of experience in the Health & Fitness Industry. He embarked on this journey as a Rookie Trainer and has since evolved into a dedicated studio owner. He has guided numerous individuals to successfully attain their health and fitness objectives. Today, Mandra’s primary focus is empowering fellow trainers to build enduring and rewarding careers in the health and fitness realm.

SARAH BROAD (Vision PT, Wahroonga)

Sarah’s journey with fitness started when she met Chris her trainer and started the journey of a lifetime. It was one, that was many, many months in the making as she gathered the courage to step into the studio for the very first time. Fast forward four years and Sarah has lost 55kilos, participated in numerous fun runs, swims and events.

Her daughter and husband now train with her and her son is a Personal Trainer as well. Sarah is extremely excited to join her 30 years of customer service background with her weight loss experience.

ROB INNES (Kirwan, Townsville)

Rob holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sports and Exercise Science and a Masters degree in Exercise Physiology from James Cook University. These qualifications have equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of human physiology.

With his CrossFit Level 2 Coach certification, Rob possesses a deep understanding of functional training and exercise programming. Additionally, as a Level 3 Intern with the Australian Weightlifting Federation in 2018, Rob has gained valuable insights into the sport of weightlifting and the intricacies of training techniques and programming.

MICHAEL SPOWART (Algester, Brisbane)

After completing Certificate III and IV through Fitness institute in 2014 while serving in the Australian Army as an infantry soldier, Michael has gained extensive experience. He has worked in various gyms across Sydney, Brisbane, and Townsville. During this period, he actively competed in bodybuilding competitions in the Classic Physique category and successfully coached clients to competition readiness.

Michael furthered his education by earning his Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and a Diploma in Bodybuilding and Fitness Methods. Currently based in the Gold Coast, he works as a bodyguard and security coordinator for TV reality shows. Additionally, he operates as a personal trainer at the new Strand Fitness Gym located in AJ Sports Centre (Strand Fitness) in Algester.

HAYLEY TUNNICLIFF (Townsville)

After completing her Certificate III and IV through the Fitness Institute Face to Face course, Hayley is now working her dream job as a Personal Trainer running her own business ‘Fortify Strength Training’.

Having a career in sales prior to becoming a PT, and having competed in sports ranging from Tae-Kwon-Do, to road cycling and strongwoman, Hayley is passionate about being the best PT possible, and is excited to support you in completing your qualifications to get you into your own successful fitness coaching business.

Donna Wild is a passionate advocate for health and fitness with over 15 years of experience in the industry. As a Level 3 AusActive-certified personal trainer specializing in 1 on 1, small group training, boxing and rehabilitation, Donna works with clients of all ages—from children to 90-year-olds—helping them achieve their fitness and wellness goals.     • Sign up to our Approved Mentor Program and enrol in our Online PT Course
    • Coordinate times with your mentor to complete the practical components of the PT Course
    • Complete online aspects of the course in your own time. 

REQUIREMENTS

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
There are no official entry requirements to the Certificate III & IV in Fitness, however Fitness Institute will require the following for our courses:

  • A small level of familiarity with gyms.
  • Desktop or laptop computer (2 screens recommended for study, but not required).
  • Computer literacy
    • Able to process word documents, spreadsheets and presentation files.
    • Able to send emails and attach documents or link to web files.
    • Able to take pictures or videos on smartphones and upload to the web.
  • Year 10 or equivalent completed. Year 11 minimum if in school (note 18 + is recommended).
  • Ability to participate in physical activity or work out a suitable plan with your mentor (if injured).
  • Commercial gym membership and access to be able to complete your practicals and experience different group fitness classes.
