WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
- How to plan, instruct and evaluate endurance training programs for clients who have completed industry-endorsed pre-exercise screening and risk stratification procedures.
- Develop, implement and evaluate a strength and conditioning program focusing on the sport specific needs of individual athletes or groups of athletes or those undertaking fitness programs to achieve personal fitness goals.
- Use drills, exercises and activities to instruct strength and conditioning techniques.
You’ll need access to a gym and a mentor who is a qualified Personal Trainer with Strength and Conditioning experience.
Ideally, your coach will have power lifting (Bench, Squat, Deadlift) and weightlifting (Clean and Jerk and Snatch) experience.
Completing this skillset also offers CEC’s for those registered with Fitness Australia (5 CEC’s per unit of competency from a SIS30315 or SIS40215 Fitness qualification). Learn more HERE.
Course Prerequisites: Fitness Institute requires a minimum of either the Certificate III in Fitness or relevant units covering Pre-Exercise Screening.
A JP Certified copy of your Certificate III in Fitness or Statement of Attainment is to be submitted upon enrolment.
