Graduates will have substantial knowledge to be able to conduct and evaluate exercise training, provide leadership and guidance to clients and other staff and deal with unpredictable situations (uncontrolled environments) and apply the guidelines and scope of practice applicable from Fitness Australia. Students will be encouraged to network with Allied Health Professionals to ensure the best outcome for their clients.
Students will be able to find a diversity of work in fitness industry businesses including fitness centres, gyms, community facilities and in open spaces (with the correct council licensing, insurance and registration requirements). Students will train young clients, old clients, general population clients and athletes throughout their Certificate IV in Fitness program. The course also contains a business module to prepare the students to sell gym memberships, PT packs as well as starting their own business. A growing list of in house and guest presenters has been collaborated over the past 4 years in the making of this package below and all standards have been updated during 2016 for healthy eating guidelines and working with children. The Fitness Institute spent over 15 months updating from the previous Certificate IV in Fitness course to ensure that new content was of the highest standard.
